Yesterday, Microsoft began rolling out the first new SystemUpdate to registered users in its 2013 Xbox LIVE Public Beta program. This first update brings the Xbox 360 dashboard/kernel version to 2.0.16517.0.

c4evaSpeaks.com is happy to confirm that after updating to this latest version, LT v2.01, LT+ v2.0 & v3.0, and LTU v1.2 continue to work fine with backups both offline and on Xbox LIVE. Xk3y also continues to function without issue on LIVE and offline.

According to a post by Xbox LIVE's Major Nelson (Larry Hryb), it will "include updates to improve overall performance and the ability to conduct transactions with local currency, as Microsoft Points will be retired later this year". Another notable change is the removal of Windows Live Messenger chat capabilities.

A second update has been pushed out to all users in the Public Beta program. This update brings the Xbox 360 dashboard/kernel up to version 2.0.16525.0. All current firmwares (LT v2.01, LT+ v2.0 & v3.0, and LTU v1.0) continue to work fine with backups both on Xbox LIVE and offline. Xk3y is also functioning normally on and offline. The primary change in this version is a slight decrease in the size of dashboard tiles.

A third update has been rolled-out to all those in the Public Beta program. This update brings the Xbox 360 dashboard/kernel up to version 2.0.16529.0. c4eva's LT v2.01, LT+ v2.0 & v3.0, and LTU v1.0 all continue to work fine with backups on Xbox LIVE and offline, and the same goes for Xk3y.

*UPDATE* [2013-07-26 10:19PM UTC]
Microsoft has deployed a fourth SystemUpdate in the Public Beta. This one brings the Xbox 360 dashboard/kernel up to version 2.0.16531.0. All current c4eva firmwares and Xk3y continue to work fine on Xbox LIVE and offline after this update.

*UPDATE* [2013-08-02 11:39PM UTC]
A fifth SystemUpdate has been released to participants in the Beta. This latest one brings the Xbox 360 dashboard/kernel to version 2.0.16535.0. Backups are working fine (LT v2.01, LT+ v2.0 & v3.0, LTU v1.0, LTU v2.0) both offline and on Xbox LIVE, and the same story for Xk3y as well. One of the primary changes in this version is the inclusion of a new auto-download option for app and game updates (apparently this change came in an earlier update, thanks to Anonymous for pointing that out).

*UPDATE* [2013-08-09 11:37PM UTC]
A sixth update has been deployed in the 2013 Xbox LIVE Public Beta program. This latest update is a single-digit increment and brings the Xbox 360 dashboard/kernel up to version 2.0.16536.0. As has been the case with the previous updates in the program, backups run with LT v2.01, LT+ v2.0 & v3.0, LTU v1.0 and LTU v2.0 are all still working fine on Xbox LIVE and offline. Xk3y as well also continues to work normally on and offline.

*UPDATE* [2013-08-16 11:49PM UTC]
On Friday, Microsoft pushed out a seventh update to all enrollees in the Beta program. This latest update brings the Xbox 360 dashboard/kernel to version 2.0.16537.0. Our apologies on the delay in confirmation tests on this one — vacation time took priority. We're pleased to confirm that backups continue to run fine offline and on Xbox LIVE with c4eva's LT v2.01, LT+ v2.0 & v3.0, LTU v1.0 and LTU v2.0. As well, Xk3y is functioning normally with backups on and offline.
